nAyanAr took rest there for sometime and then started to climb up further. Hearing this, periya kELvi jIyar and other SrIvaishNavas, with all the temple employees, mercifully took out the divine feet (SrI SatAri) of thiruvEngadamudaiyAn (this is called as pUvArkazhalgaL), along with periya parivattam (divine cloth worn on the head), SrIpAdharENu, abhayahastham etc, accompanied by nAdhaswaram, received nAyanAr and his followers. They presented the temple respects to nAyanAr who had the dharSan of the divine vimAnam (temple turret over garbhagruham [sanctum sanctorum]), thirunArAyaNagiri, dhvajasthambam (flag-mast).

He prostrated at the avAvarachchUzhndhAn entrance, looked joyously at the divine streets and the divine mansions, circumambulating the temple, had a bath in the swAmy pushkariNI (name of the divine tank), applied the Urdhva puNdrams, worshipped vEnkata varAhar, accepting sacred water, SrI SatakOpan and sandalwood paste, and left the sannidhi; looking at the divine chariots, he went to the azhagiya maNavALan divine maNdapam (this is the place where namperumAL had taken residence for some time, during the period of invasion) and prostrated there. He prostrated at the balipeetam, at the divine seNbaga entrance and at attANip puLi. Circumambulating the seNbagachchuRRu, he saw the ney kiNaRu, worshipped the thirumadaippaLLi (divine kitchen where offerings made to thiruvEngadamudaiyAn are prepared) and yamunaiththuRaivan, took water from the temple tank, went on top of the golden maNtapam, worshipped nArAyaNa giri, entered the seNbaga vAsal and worshipped pon vinju perumAL sannidhi where dhEvapperumAL had taken residence earlier [it is now known as varadharAjaswAmy sannidhi], worshipped azhagappirAnAr and the divine turret. He then worshipped the thirumadaippaLLi nAchchiyAr (SrI mahAlakshmi vigraham placed inside the divine kitchen), worshipped dhaSAvathArams, worshipped perumAL vigraham who was with ubhaya nAychchimArs at the yAga maNtapam, accepted sacred water, SrISatakOpan, worshipped the divine turret [over the sanctum sanctorum], worshipped sEnai mudhaliyAr, prostrated before rAmAnujar reciting “rAmAnujasya charaNau SaraNam prapadhyE” and accepted sacred water, ananthAzhwAn [the divine feet of emperumAn at thirumalai is called as ananthAzhwAn; everywhere else, it is referred to as mudhaliyANdAn] and sandalwood paste. He then worshipped azhagiya singar (SrI narasimhan) and periyathiruvadi nAyanAr (garudAzhwAn) who is like mirror for emperumAn, made his offerings at the huNdi, took permission of the dhvArapAlakas and entered the sanctum sanctorum. He worshipped chakravarthi thirumagan (SrI rAma), went near the kulasEkaran padi (at the entrance of emperumAn’s sannidhi) and worshipped thiruvEngadamudaiyAn as said in “sishEvE dhEvadhEvESam SEshaSaila nivAsinam” (worshipped thiruvEngadamudaiyAn , the lord of nithyasUris, who is residing permanently at thirumalai). As he kept having dharSan of thiruvEngadamudaiyAn, emperumAn offered him sacred water and SrI SatakOpan which he accepted and was grateful.
