jIyar worships thirumangai AzhwAr at thiruvAli thirunagari
Subsequently, just as it has been mentioned in the SlOkam
ahirAjaSailamapithO nirantharam bruthanASathEnasavilOkayan thatha:
avaruhya dhivyanagaram ramAspadham bhujagESayam punarupEthyapUrusham
(that maNavALa mAmunigaL, with his retinue of disciples, looking around the four sides of thirumalai without closing his eyes, climbed down the hills and reached the divine town of lower thiruppathi. He worshipped again, gOvindharAjar, who is reclining on AdhiSEshan and who is the dwelling place for SrI mahAlakshmi), left that place, went to divine abodes such as thrivevvuLUr (present day thiruvaLLUr), thiruvallikkENi, worshipping the divine feet of emperumAn. He then went to perumAL kOyil (kAnchIpuram) worshipping the divine feet of pEraruLALar. With his permission, he left mercifully and reached madhurAnthakam which is considered as being great on earth. He composed the thamizh pAsuram, on reaching the outskirts of madhurAnthakam:
marumalar kamazhum sOlai madhurai mAnagar vandhu eydhi
aruL mozhi periya nambi anRu edhirAsarAsarkku
arum poruL vazhangum engaL Eri kAththaruLvAr kOyil
thirumagizhadiyiR selveer thIvinai thIrumARE
(Reaching the divine abode of madhurai (madhurAnthakam) which is surrounded by fragrant orchards, one should go to the place inside the ErikAththa rAmar kOyil [temple of SrI rAmar who protected the tank in that place] where periya nambi who speaks mercifully, gave rare wealth [carried out samASrayaNam] on that day to ethirAsar (rAmAnujar) so that all the bad deeds of the past will get obliterated).
On reaching the vicinity of the town, he composed another pAsuram
idhuvO kiLiyARu? ivvUrO thirumadhurai?
idhuvO thirumagizhum gOpuramum? – idhuvO
periya nambi thAm ugandhu pinnum ethirAsarukkuth
thuyam aLiththa thUyappadhi?
(Is this kiLi river? Is this the divine place of madhurAnthakam? Is this the divine tower of the temple which is liked by SrI mahAlakshmi? Is this the sacred town where periya nambi, with lot of joy, gave the meaning of dhvayam (one of the three esoteric manthrams) to rAmAnujar?)
He prostrated at that place and with lot of happiness, stayed there that day. The next day, he mercifully left for thiruchiththirakUtam and worshipped the divine feet of gOvindharAjar. He then desired to worship the divine feet of emperumAn in the divine abodes in chOzha maNdalam (forty divine abodes in chOzha nAdu). He left thiruchiththirakkUtam and reached various divine abodes, carrying out mangaLASAsanam at all these places. He then reached thiruvAli thirunagari and worshipped the divine feet of thirumangai AzhwAr.
He composed the following pAsurams then:
uRai kazhiththa vElai oththa vizhi madandhai mAdharmEl
uRaiyavaiththa manamozhiththu avvulagaLandha nambimEl
kuRaiyai vaiththu madal eduththa kuRaiyalALi thirumaNang
gollai thannil vazhipaRiththa kuRRamaRRa sengaiyAn
maRaiyuL vaiththa mandhiraththai mAl uraikka avan munnE
madi odhukki manam odukki vAy pudhaiththu avvonnalAr
kuRai kuLiththa vElaNaiththu ninRa indha nilaimai en
kaNNai vittu aganRidAdhu kaliyan ANai ANai ANaiyE
(thirumangai AzhwAr removed his mind which he had kept on the eyes of women, which were like spears removed from their sheaths. He kept those eyes on that complete entity [emperumAn], keeping his grievance also on that entity.He composed madal (a form of poetry in thamizh literature) on that emperumAn; he, who has faultless reddish hands, waylaid that emperumAn at thirumaNangollai, near thiruvAli; as emperumAn recited the thirumanthram (ashtAksharam) which is hidden inside vEdhams, thirumangai AzhwAr stood very obediently and took it inside his divine mind. This sight where thirumangai AzhwAr was embracing his spear even as he was listening to emperumAn, will never leave my mind; this I vow on that kaliyan [thirumangai AzhwAr])

thongalum thanimAlaiyum sAththiya thiruththaNdaiyum
sadhirAna vIrakkazhalum kundhiyitta kaNaikkAlum
kuLira vaiththa thiruvadi malarum maruvalar tham udal thuNiya
vAL vIsum parakAlan mangai mannarAna vadivE
(spear which is being hugged, hand which is worshipping, divine mark which is embossed, mouth which is saying praNavam (Om), risen nose, cool face, broad eyes, dark hair, sculpted ears, blossomed protective ornament on the ear, lowered ears, encased neck, broad chest, rounded shoulders, bent back, narrow waist, pressed armour, lifted, dark lips, ear drops, garland, divine, hollow anklet, valorous anklet, pressed shin, flower-like divine feet which have been cooled, the ability to swing the sword to sever the bodies of enemies – all these arre descriptive of the divine form of parakAlan, the king of mangai country)

(Long live the reddish divine feet of thirumangai AzhwAr! Long live the divine waist with beautiful vasthram (dress) and armour! Long live the bounty of hugging the divine spear! Long live the divine hands which are in anjali pose (cupped palms)! Long live the chest with reddish ornament and garland! Long live the rounded shoulders and divine neck which is bent in reverence! Long live the divine smile on the lips, which intoxicate us, and the blossomed eyes! Long live the veil on the divine lock, with its ring!)

(My eyes will rejoice looking at the divine chest which is hugging the spear, the divine right ear which has bent to hear the divine eight letters (ashtAksharam) being instructed by thirumAL, the divine anklet hugging the divine foot, the valorous anklet and the bountiful face of thirumangai AzhwAr who is wearing garland)
