After carrying out mangaLASAsanam to thirumangai AzhwAr, jIyar worshipped vayalAli maNavALan (emperumAn at thiruvAlith thirunagari), who is very dear to thirumangai AzhwAr. He then went mercifully to thirumaNangollai [the place where perumAL taught thirumanthram (ashtAkshari) to  thirumangai AzhwAr) and composed the following pAsuram:

IdhO thiruvarasu? IdhO maNangollai?
IdhO ezhilAli ennumUr? – IdhOdhAn
vettungaliyan vElai vetti nedumAl
ettezhuththum paRiththavidam

(Is this the divine arasa (peepul) tree? Is this thirumaNangollai? Is this the place called as beautiful thiruvAli? This indeed is the place where thirumangai AzhwAr, who threatens people, showed his spear and snatched thirumanthram (ashtAkshari) from thirumAl (sarvESvaran)).

He then decided in his divine mind that he should proceed to thirukkaNNapuram, which has been described by thirumangai AzhwAr in his periya thirumozhi “neeNilA muRRaththu ninRavaL nOkkinAL kANumO kaNNapuram enRu kAttinAL” (parakAla nAyaki (thirumangai AzhwAr in feminine pathos) was standing atop the balcony and saw at a distance the temple of thirukkaNNapuram and exclaimed that was indeed thirukkaNNapuram, showing it to her friends). Immediately he left with a great urge and mercifully reached thirukkaNNapuram. He worshipped saurirAjan [uthsavap perumAL’s name at thirukkaNNapuram] who looked like a black mountain and whose every limb looked beautiful. He mercifully consecrated there, the vigraham of thirumangai AzhwAr for whom being the servitor of kaNNapuraththAn (the perumAL at thirukkaNNapuram) is the identity. Then he mercifully went to thirunaRaiyUr and worshipped nambi (emperumAn thirunaRaiyUr nambi, who is complete in all aspects) and nAchchiyAr. He reached thirukkudandhai (present day kumbakONam) where huge reddish gems collect. He worshipped the ErAr kOlaththiruvuruvu (beautiful divine form) of ArAvamudhAzhwAr (emperumAn there). Leaving that place, he reached thenthiruppEr [thiruppEr on the southern side] which is sung as thirumAl senRu sErvidam (the divine place where emperumAn reached) and worshipped the divine feet of thiruppEr nagarAn. After that, just as it has been said in the SlOkam

(whichever divine abodes have been reached by emperumAn,  due to your glance, those divine abodes have distinguished uthsavams (festivities) and those divine abodes will remove all the sins of the world), he mercifully went to various other divine abodes, carrying out mangaLASAsanam. Then he mercifully left for SrIrangam, as it has been mentionied in “Eshabrahma pravishtOsmi grIshmE SIthamilahratham” (I am immersed in parabrahmam (supreme entity) just as one immerses in a pond during summer)

Ordains appAchchiyAraNNa to perumAL kOyil

He then reached his dwelling place of SrIrangam and worshipped perumAL. Just as it has been mentioned in the SlOkam

chithrANi dhIpthara rathnavibhUshaNAni chathrANi chAmarayugam vyajanAsanAni

(He submitted immediately to that azhagiya maNavALan who was together with periya pirAtti, the following: amazing, radiant, gemstone studded divine ornaments which were with the divine name of azhagiya maNavALan together with the symbols of divine disc and divine conch; divine, white, regal umbrellas; decorative thrones), he offered to perumAL the materials [which he was offered during his travel to various divine abodes and] which he carried with him mercifully – divine ornaments, divine white regal umbrellas, divine fly whisk (manual fan made of white fibrous material), divine cloth fan, carpet made of ruby, divine bolsters etc. He carried out mangaLASAsanam to perumAL and stood mercifully. perumAL offered him sacred water, SrI SatakOpan etc and told uththama nambi (main archakar) to accompany maNavALa mAmunigal, along with the temple employees, and leave him in his matam. He also asked nambi to go with ashtAdhasavAdhyams (eighteen different types of musical instruments) and go as a mahOthsava (great festive) procession. jIyar, upon reaching his matam, showered his grace on appiLLai, thiruvAzhi AzhwAr piLLai and other eminent persons there as well as SrIvaishNava kainkaryaparars (those involved in carrying out servitude to the matam). He mercifully offered them thIrtha prasAdham which he had brought from various divine abodes.

He then called appAchchiyAraNNA and told him, as he had mentioned earlier too, to take up the task at perumAL kOyil (kAnchIpuram). appAchchiyAraNNA felt perturbed, asking jIyar “Is it possible to leave this service and this assembly?” jIyar caught his hand, went inside his sannidhi and gave him a copper pitcher which he had named as rAmAnusan which had got worn out and which vAnamAmalai jIyar used to keep in his basket since it was used earlier by jIyar. The name rAmAnusan as well as the divine symbols of disc and conch, which had been inscripted on the pitcher, had got worn out over a period of time. He told appAchchiyAraNNA “Use this to make two idols resembling us. Hand over one to your AchAryar and keep one with you”. He also handed over to aNNA, the vigraham of ennai thImanam keduththAr from his kOyilAzhwAr (place where the thiruvArAdhanap perumAL vigrahams are kept) and told him “This vigraham was earlier thiruvArAdhanap perumAL for AtkoNdavilli jIyar. As one belonging to the divine clan of kandhAdaiyANdAn, you are fully qualified to perform thiruvArAdham for this perumAL”. He then went to the assembly [of SrIvaishNavas, in thirumalaiyAzhwAr] and recited the SlOkam

SrIthIrtha dhEvarAjArya thanayAmbhEdi viSruthA

(vardhAchAryar (appAchchiyAraNNA), who is the son of Achchi, who in turn is the daughter of thirumanjanam appA, also called as dhEvarAjAryar, and ambA, is the ornament for kAnchIpuram). With lot of affection, he mercifully said that pEraruLALar (dhEvarAjap perumAL) has incarnated as the son of Achchi. He then told aNNA “Reside permanently in kOyil and carry out kainkaryam”.
