Through various activities as detailed in the SlOkas given below, mAmunigaL uplifted everyone by making people see the auspiciousness / offences which occur while carrying out acceptable / unacceptable activities:

(The poison which has been consumed destroys only the body which is made of primordial matter. It is possible to carry out a remedy for that [poison] through chanting of manthras or consuming medicines. However, jIvAthmA, by seeing them (worldly matters), by contacting, by uniting with them), by separating from them, by hearing them etc gets destroyed by worldly pursuits without any possibility of a remedy. This maNavALa mAmunigaL, by explaining and showing them in their details, which cannot be removed easily, removed the involvement, from the roots, with these worldly pursuits such that one would not approach them again.

(svAbhimAnam (ego) is the reason for all blemishes. It is the reason for anger and lust. This abhimAnam always destroys the mind of a chEthana (sentient entity))

(Wealth is the reason for lust. Lust is the reason for hell. Hence, let one, who is looking for benefits, avoid attaining wealth which has nonsense as another name. Even for one who is desirous of having wealth in order to donate [to the needy], it is better not to have any desire in materials. It is better to stay at a distance from mud than to wash the
mud from one’s foot).

(adiyEn (this servitor) is a dhAsabhUthan (servant) of SrIvaishNavas. They are adiyEn’s controllers. They have the right to sell or buy this servitor, as per their wishes. Whichever chEthanan (sentient entity) has this firmness, is the leader among those who have realised the basic nature of their AthmA (soul). Due to this, everyone’s AthmasvarUpam gets established. This also establishes a level of gratitude higher than that of AchAryars)

AchAryavath dhEvathAvath mAthruvath pithruvaththathA
dhrashtavyAssantha ithyAdhirdhrushta: SAsthrEshu vistharAth

(sathpurushas (those who have purely good qualities) are to be revered as AchAryas, dhEvathAs, mothers and fathers. Such great paths are widely manifested in SAsthras)

(Though emperumAn, who is lord of all, is a SrImAn (very revered), mixes freely with everyone, is very easy to approach and is supremely merciful, he gets bewildered (furious) when even a minor offence is carried out towards a great person. The glance from such a great person, which is capable of purifying anyone, will uplift even those who have fallen from emperumAn. Their bewilderment, even if it is a minor one, is capable of affecting even nithyAthmas (permanent dwellers of SrIvaikuNtam). The insult which happens to such great people, even if it is very insignificant, will be more undesirable than emperumAn’s undesirable levels)

(He (maNavALa mAMunigaL), through examples from SAsthrams and reasoning with divine words, showed the cruelty of carrying out offence (bhAgavathApachAram or offence towards devotees of emperumAn), towards sathpurushas and uplifted everyone).
