jIyar carries out divine coronation to prime disciples in AchArya sthAnams
One day, jIyar called prathivAdhi bhayankaram aNNA and told him to mercifully teach SrIbhAshyam (commentary written by rAmAnujar for vyAsa maharishi’s brahmasUthram) to kandhAdaiyaNNan, pOrERRu nAyanAr, ananthayyanappai, emperumAnAr jIyar nAyanAr and kandhAdai nAyan. He then gave the divine title SrIbhAshyAchAryar to prathivAdhi bhayankaram aNNA, made him sit on the SrIbhAyasimhAsanam and carried out abhishEkam (divine coronation) for him.
On another day, he called kandhAdaiyaNNan and told him to teach bhagavath vishayam (thiruvAimozhi vyAkhyAnam) to periya kandhAdai appan, thirukkOpuraththu nAyanAr bhattar, SudhdhasathvamaNNan, ANda perumAL nAyanAr and ayyanappA. He then gave the divine title of bhagavadhsambandhAchAriyar to kandhAdaiyaNNan, made him sit on the AchArya simhAsanam and carried out abhishEkam for him. Looking at SudhdhasathvamaNNan’s ability in writing commentary, he was very happy. He gave him the title of thiruvAimozhi AchAryar, made him sit on bhagavath vishaya simhAsanam and carried out abhishEkam for him. On one night, he heard kandhAdai nAyan and jIyar nAyanAr discussing about the meanings for bhagavath vishayam. He heard kandhAdai nAyan giving a discourse in samaskrutham on the meanings for bhagavath vishayam. He ordained nAyan to write the arumpadhaviLakkam (explanatory meanings) for bhagavath vishayam in samaskrutham.
jIyar calls eRumbiyappA to kOyil
After leaving jIyar’s merciful presence and reaching eRumbi [during jIyar’s travel to perumAL kOyil, ref part 66], eRumbiyappA was sorrowful, being unable to bear that separation. He kept meditating on jIyar’s dhinacharyA (daily activities). As an outlet for the excessive flow of that experience, he composed a prabandham dhinacharyA and sent it through a SrivaishNava to jIyar. Upon reading it, jIyar felt very happy, showered his mercy on eRumbiyappA and wondered “If one were deeply engaged in abhimAnam (reverence), shouldn’t one be like this?” His divine mind went towards eRumbiyappA. He sent a message to appA to immediately leave for kOyil. appA wanted to have dharSan of mAmunigaL immediately and composed the SlOkam

(Oh maNavALa mAmuni! I wish to see dhEvarIr immediately, permanently and enjoy that by crossing this insurmountable path by either transforming myself as that AnjanEyar who is the best among vAnaras (monkeys) and who is an expert in crossing huge ocean or as pakshirAjan, also called as periya thiruvadi, who is dear to emperumAn, the divine spouse of kamalA and who carries out permanent kainkaryam to him). With overflowing affection, he carried that message on his head and recited the SlOkam

(Oh thiruvananthAzhwAn (AdhiSEshan)! You have incarnated on your own as maNavALa mAmunigaL, who is our swAmy (lord). Even though I have been averse to you, you have blessed me in a distinguished manner. Oh maNavALa mAmuni! How can people like us qualify to receive message from you, when your divine SrIsUkthis (compositions) by their arrangement and greatness of meanings are fit to be worshipped, with tears of joy, by those who have pure minds, when you are difficult to be attained even by nithyakmukthas (permanent dwellers of SrIvaikuNtam and those who have got liberated from samsAram and have reached SrIvaikuNtam), who keep singing pallANdu (praising emperumAn) constantly? adiyEn (this servitor) who is without the knowledge to distinguish between good and evil, will tear the divine message sent by dhEvarIr, like a monkey tears apart a garland). He became fully engrossed with that divine message from maNavALa mAmunigaL and left immediately with great desire, for SrIrangam. He entered the matam, and to satiate his longing experienced on the way [from eRumbi] as well as the longing of not having prostrated before jIyar in a long time, enjoyed the divine form of varavaramuni [maNavALa mAmunigaL] as mentioned in the SlOkam sudhAnidhim iva svaira svIkruthOthagra vigraham (like an ocean of nectar, the divine form was accepted by jIyar of his volition), took the divine lotus-like feet of maNavALa mAmunigaL and gently pressed on his chest and eyes and prostrated before him. Just as it has has been mentioned in the pAsurams

(We are fortunate to have a bath in kAvEri and enter SrIrangam. We are fortunate to praise the divine feet of namperumAL. We are fortunate to dwell in the abode where manAvALa mAmunigaL is residing. We are fortunate to don the divine feet of his followers. We are fortunate to remain always in thirumalaiyAzhWar (the hall built by mAmunigaL for giving upanyAsam etc). We are fortunate to be his confidante. We are indeed fortunate to see our happiness multiply in this world)

(I am a person who had not even thought of carrying out service to one who has been the target of magnamimous grace of maNavALa mAmunigaL who incarnated on this earth. Despite that, how fortunate have I become!)
