Just like before, emperumAn mercifully came along with parAnkuSa parakAla bhattanAtha yathivarar (nammAzhwAr, thirumangai AzhwAr, periyAzhwAr and rAmAnujar respectively) and others to listen to the vyAkyAnam of dhivyaprabandham as well as to praise jIyar. He wanted to highlight the glories of jIyar and he wanted to do that himself. Just as it has been mentioned in the SlOkam

(During the sARRUmaRai (ending) of bhagavath vishayam (thiruvAimozhi vyAkyAnam), betel leaves, betel nut etc were kept ready on plates. A four year old child, by the name of ranganAyakan came there suddenly. While he was prevented from coming, by people who told him “Why are you coming? Go away”, he came near [jIyar] and recited this thaniyan (special SlOkam)), cardamom, clove, camphor etc were kept ready as sambhAvaNai (honourarium), along with thiruparivattam (divine cloth worn around the head), betel nut, fruits etc.
SriSailESa dhayApAthra thaniyan avathAram–
ranganAyakan, the four year old son of azhagiya maNavALa bhattar, stood between the plates containing various materials (as mentioned above) kept as honorarioum, and perumAL. Even as he was taken out of the place and made to stand outside, he re-entered the same place. Everyone thought “This cannot be a normal happening; something amazing is going to happen”. When the little boy was asked “What for are you standing here?” he cupped his palms in anjali pose and without any fear said “SrISailESa dhayApAthram”. When asked if there was anything else that he had to say, he said “dhIpakthyAdhi guNArNavam yathIndhra pravaNam vandhE ramyajAmAtharam munim” and ran away. Eminent people who were there were amazed to hear this; immediately they wrote this SlOkam as a palm-leaf manuscript, applied turmeric powder to the corners (as a sign of auspiciousness), kept it at the divine feet of namperumAL. They then kept it on a plate, called ranganAyakan after caressing him and asked him if there is anything else to be recited. He said “I do not know anything” When he was asked to repeat what he had recited earlier, he said “I do not know anything” and ran away.
Order for vAzhiththirunAmam
Then appiLLai (one of the disciples of maNavALa mAmunigaL, ref part 56 of this translation) was praised through aruLpAdu (announcing a command graciously) and asked to recite vAzhith thirunAmam (praising a person). appiLLai recited the following, since he was an expert with thamizh
vAzhi thiruvAimozhippiLLai mAdhagavAl
vAzhum maNavALa mAmunivan – vAzhiyavan
mARan thiruvAimozhipporuLai mAnilaththOr
thERum padi uraikkum sIr
(Long life to maNavALa mAMunival who lives by the huge grace of thiruvAimozhip piLLai. Praise to him who explained the meanings of thiruvAimozhi in such a way that all the people could understand and get uplifted)
seyya thAmaraith thALiNai vAzhiyE sElai vAzhi thirunAbi vAzhiyE
thuyya mArbum purinUlum vAzhiyE sundharaththiruth thOLiNai vAzhiyE
kaiyum Endhiya mukkOlum vAzhiyE karuNai pongiya kaNNiNai vAzhiyE
poyyilAdha maNavALa mAmuni pundhi vAzhi pugazh vAzhi vAzhiyE
(Praise to his reddish lotus like divine feet; praise to his divine dress and divine navel; praise to his pure heart and sacred thread; praise to his beautiful divine shoulders; praise to his thiridhaNdam (three sticks bound together, carried by ascetics); praise to his divine eyes which overflow with compassion; praise to maNavALa mAmuni who speaks only truth; praise to his intellect; praise to his fame)
adiyArgaL vAzha aranga nagar vAzha
sadagOpan thaN thamizh nUl vAzha – kadal sUzhndha
mannulagam vAzha maNavALa mAmuniyE!
Innumoru nURRANdu irum
(For the followers to prosper, for SrIrangam to prosper, for the divine prabandham of nammAzhwAr to prosper, for the earth which is surrounded by ocean to prosper, Oh maNavALa mAmuni! May you live for another hundred years)
perumAL was very happy listening to these pAsurams and showered his mercy on appiLLai. He also presented him various honours.
namperumAL’s order to dhivyadhEsams
Immediately, a divine message from sEnai mudhaliyAr (vishwaksEnar) was sent to various divine abodes such as thirumalai, perumAL kOyil etc, to recite the thaniyan which was composed by namperumAL regarding jIyar
SrISailESa dhayApAthram dhIbhakthyAdhi guNArNavam
yathIndhra pravaNam vandhE ramyajAmAtharam munim
(I offer my salutations to that maNavALa mAmunigaL who is the object of thirumvAimozhippiLLai’s mercy, who is like an ocean of intellect and devotion and who is full of affection for rAmAnujar). The message said that at the start of any recital, this thaniyan should be recited and at the end of that recital, his three pAsurams starting with “vAzhi thiruvAimozhippiLLai” and ending with “maNavALa mAmuniyE innum oru nURRANdu irum” should be recited. He then honoured maNavALa mAmuni with all the temple honours and sent him to his matam with all the temple retinue. Another amazing incident happened.
