It will fructify, when the chEthana’s thought changes.

vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

adhu palippadhu ivan ninaivu mARinAl.

That is – bhagavAn’s thought will lead to the result, if the chEthana’s thought to protect the self changes [that is, if he abandons such thought].
