avathArikai (Introduction)
By the distinguished nature of bhagavAn one may become ignorant of worldly pleasures; meditating upon the noble conduct of the trustworthy elders, one may become fearful towards ordained and forbidden pleasures; but acquiring distaste towards the worldly pleasures which were enjoyed forever, will be difficult; when such distaste occurs by his grace, there is something required in the jIvAthmA. piLLai lOkAchAryar is mercifully explaining that here.

aruchi piRakkumbOdhaikku dhOshadharSanam apEkshithamAy irukkum.
Simple Explanation
When the distaste occurs, it is desirable for the jIvAthmA to see the defects [of worldly pleasures].

dhOsha dharSanam
The body which is embraced with the feeling of enjoyment should be seen as
- a collection of flesh, blood, pus, stool, urine, bone marrow (reddish fluid), fat and bone
- leading to ultimate disaster
- having foul smell
- having insignificant, impermanent enjoyment mixed with sorrow, which leads to disaster
Seeing these through pramANams (tools of knowledge) such as prathyaksham (sense perception).
