piLLai lOkAchAryar is mercifully explaining the reason for that [which was explained in previous sUthram].

adhukku hEthu bandha gyAnam.

Simple Explanation

The reason for that is the knowledge about our relationship [with them through bhagavAn].

vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

adhukku hEthu bandha gyAnam.

That is – just as one considers the defects of bhagavAn and bhAgavathas, who are one’s masters, to be one’s own, due to one’s relationship with them, the reason to consider the defects of samsAris to be one’s own is the knowledge about the relationship based on nArAyaNathvam (being nArAyaNa who is related to all AthmAs). Since ISvaran’s relationship with everyone is common, and since through that one has relationship with everyone, just as one will consider the defects of bodily relatives who cannot be abandoned, to be one’s own defects, there is nothing wrong in considering the defects of samsAris to be one’s own.
