chUrNikai 26
karma kainkaryangaL sathya asathya nithya anithya varNa dhAsya anuguNangaL.
Simple Explanation
karmam matches false, temporary varNam; kainkaryam matches truthful, eternal dhAsyam (servitude).
vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
That is – karmam matches varNam (class) which is false and temporary; kainkaryam matches dhAsyam which is truthful and eternal. varNam is said to be asathyam and anithyam since it is not a state of the AthmA and hence will not remain the same always and be based on a reason and be temporary as it ends with the body; dhAsyam is said to be sathyam and nithyam since it is the state of AthmA and hence will remain the same always and will be present as long as the AthmA is present (which is always). varNAnuguNam – matching the varNam; dhAsyAnuguNam – matching the dhAsyam.
