vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
That is – the rules of SAsthram such as yajur vEdham “yajEtha” (should perform yagya), karma mImAmsA “juhuyAth” (Submit the havis (offering)) are the stimulants for karmam. The desire as said in SaraNAgathi gadhyam “aSEsha SEshathaika rathi” (desire to perform all types of servitude, without leaving out anything) is the stimulant for kainkaryam. kainkaryam is said as in SaraNAgathi gadhyam “bhagavadhanubhava janitha prIthikAritha” (Experiencing bhagavAn leads to love towards him which leads to kainkaryam). It is said in thiruvAimozhi 10.8.10 “ugandhu paNi seydhu” (desirously engage in kainkaryam).
