chUrNikai 28

maNdinArum maRRaiyArum ASrayam.

Simple Explanation

The abodes for such kainkaryam and karmam are those who are immersed in dhivyadhESams and others respectively.

vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

That is – as said in thirukkuRundhANdagam 19 “kaNdiyUr arangam meyyam kachchi pEr mallai enRu maNdinAr” (Those who are immersed in thirukkaNdiyUr, SrIrangam, thirumeyyam, kAnchIpuram, thiruppEr nagar, thirukkadalmallai etc), the prapannas (those who have surrendered) who are very desirous towards ugandharuLina nilangaL (the divine abodes which are emperumAn’s residences) are the abodes for kainkaryam. The others who are upAsakas (bhakthi yOga followers) and who are indicated in the previous pAsuram (thirukkuRundhANdagam 18) “viLakkinai vidhiyil kANbAr” (those who see the lamp (bhagavAn) through the ordained paths in SAsthram) are the abodes for karmam.

With this, the doers of karma and doers of kainkaryam are explained.
