avathArikai (Introduction)
When asked “But just as that vEdham, should this (AzhwAr’s prabandhams) also remain as not being authored by anyone? Since AzhwAr is said to be the author of this, nithyathvam (being eternal) and apaurushEyathvam (not authored by anyone) will not be applicable” nAyanAr responds.

Simple Explanation
karthruthvam (authorship) in this [thiruvAimozhi], which is said as in thiruvAimozhi 8.10.11 “sollappatta” (spoken by), is similar to brahmA being said as the author of vEdham.
vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
That is – karthruthvam said for AzhwAr as said in thiruvAimozhi 8.10.11 “sadagOpan sollappatta Ayiram” (thousand pAsurams spoken by SatakOpa, viz. nammAzhwAr), is similar to smruthi saying “anAdhi nidhanA hyEshA vAguthsrushtA svayambuvA” (these passages of vEdham, which has no beginning or end, were authored by brahmA), that brahmA created vEdham. nAyanAr said “svayambhU padaiththAn” instead of “svayambhU srushtiththAn” to reveal AzhwAr’s divine words as in periya thirumadal “munnam thisaimuganaith thAn padaikka – maRRavanum munnam padaiththanan nAnmaRaigaL“ (even as he [emperumAn] created brahmA during the time of creation (after deluge), that brahmA too obtained the four vEdhas (from supreme being)). Just as the collection of words in vEdham, which has been there forever, have come out of the mouth of brahmA as the reason, brahmA is said to be the author; AzhwAr’s authorship is also similarly said in thiruvAimozhi itself. Hence, nithyathvam and apaurushEyathvam are not lost by this.
