Simple Explanation
The reason which makes his qualities acceptable will apply for his defects too.

That is – the reason that the qualities are acceptable for devotees since they belong to their lord, will apply for the defects which are apparently seen in him. With this, it is implied that – just as the qualities are acceptable because they are present in him, defects will also be acceptable when present in him; hence, defects will not make us leave him.
