In this manner, while krishNa was living in vrindhAvanam, a few more asuras who were sent by kamsa came one by one, to kill krishNa. krishNa easily killed them all. Let us now enjoy these aspects now.
arishtAsura came in the form of a cruel, big bull, with great anger to kill krishNa and balarAma. When he rushed towards krishNa, krishNa grabbed him by his feet and killed him by throwing him up and crashing him on the ground.
A demon named kESi came in the form of a huge horse. Seeing that, nAradha became very frightened thinking “krishNa cannot escape from him” and fainted. As kESi approached krishNa with the intent to kill him, krishNa grabbed his mouth and tore it into two parts and killed him. Only after hearing the news of krishNa killing kESi, nAradha regained his consciousness. Many AzhwArs have enjoyed this incident. poygai AzhwAr in his mudhal thiruvandhAdhi enjoyed this saying “mA vAy piLandhu” (Tearing the mouth of the horse). nammAzhwAr in his thiruvAimozhi says “thurangam vAy piLandhAnuRai tholaivillimangalam” (tholaivillimangalam is the abode of the one who tore the mouth of the horse). kulaSEkara AzhwAr in his perumAL thirumozhi says “mAvinai vAy piLandhu ugandha mAlai” (bhagavAn who tore the mouth of the horse and became pleased). ANdAL in her thiruppAvai says “mA vAy piLandhAnai” (One who tore the mouth of the horse). thirumangai AzhwAr in thirunedundhANdagam says “mA kINda kaiththalaththu en maindhA” (The youthful lord who has beautiful hands which killed the horse). In these pAsurams thurangam and mA indicate horse.
On another day, vyOmAsura who was sent by kamsa, came and joined the group of cowherd boys in the form of a cowherd boy, when krishNa was playing with them. He took away the boys one by one and was planning to kill krishNa in the end. Understanding that, krishNa killed that demon who was in the form of a cowherd boy.
In this manner, many demons came to kill krishNa in SrI gOkulam and vrindhAvanam, and were killed by krishNa.
Essence in this incident:
- When evil-minded people approach krishNa with any form/disguise, he easily identifies them and kills them.
- Any danger which occurs for bhagavAn is really no danger for him, because no one can harm him. But those dangers remain dangers for his devotees. Because, when there is a danger for bhagavAn, the devotees cannot tolerate that. Hence bhagavAn eliminates such dangers which occur for him and eliminates the sorrows of his devotees.
