nAyanAr mercifully goes to perumAL kOyil
nAyanAr left thiruvEngadam, stopped over on the way for a couple of days and then, as said in the pAsuram “ulagEththum AzhiyAn aththiyUrAn” (the one who holds the divine disc and who resides in kAnchIpuram), reached kAnchIpuram to worship dhEvapperumAL.
In line with the SlOkam

(I take refuge under that gOpuram (temple tower) which rises to the sky and under which stands praNathArthiharan pEraruLALan (kAnchi dhEvap perumAL). Even though he may be at a long distance, if he is visible to someone’s eyes, that person will be liberated from sorrows and attain the highest levels of comfort), he prostrated before the thirukkOpura nAyanAr (the divine temple tower). He entered the temple, worshipped puNyakOti vimAnam too, took a divine bath in the divine ananthasaras, the divine tank inside the temple. He applied the twelve Urdhva puNdrams, worshipped AzhwArs in the proper manner, prostrated in front of balipeetam, entered the main temple, worshipped sErndhavalli nAychchiyAr, chakravarthi thirumagan (SrI rAma) and thiruvananthAzhwAn (AdhiSEshan). He then went in a circumambulatory way and worshipped the place where iLaiyAzhwAr (bhagavadh rAmAnujar) was mercifully blessed by ALavandhAr, the divine courtyard of ALavandhAr as well as the kariyamANikka sannidhi where he has taken divine residence and then thirumadaippaLLi nAychchiyAr (SrImahAlakshmi in the divine kitchen of the temple). He then worshipped perundhEvi thAyar (SrI mahAlakshmi), the divine consort of pEraruLALar who is praised as
AkArathraya sampannAm aravindha nivAsineem
aSEsha jagathISithrIm vandhE varadha vallabhAm
(I bow down to the divine feet of perundhEvith thAyar who has the three divine states of ananya SEshathvam (being servitor to none, other than emperumAn), ananya SaraNathvam (taking refuge under none, other than emperumAn) and ananyabhOgyathvam (being an object of enjoyment to none, other than emperumAn), who resides permanently on divine lotus flower, who is the controller of all the worlds and who is the divine consort of dhEvapperumAL). With the divine grace of perundhEvith thAyAr, he worshipped periya thiruvadi (garuda), narasimhap perumAL, sUdikkoduththa nAychchiyAr (ANdAL) and sEnai mudhaliyAr (vishvaksEnar). Then he went in a circumambulatory manner, went near SrIhasthigiri (the divine elephant mountain) and as said in “Eshatham karigirim samASrayE” (I take refuge under the elephant mountain), he prostrated near the steps, worshipped the malayALa nAychchiyAr, climbed the steps in the proper manner, entered the divine hall of kachchikku vAyththAn where kAnchi varadhar gave away rAmAnujar to thiruvarangap perumAL araiyar in the presence of thirukkachchi nambi, and exclaimed “Isn’t this that divine place!” and with the recommendation of all those who have taken permanent residence in that divine place and as said in
sindhurAjaSirOrathnam indhirAvAsa vakshasam
vandhE varadham vEdhimEdhinI gruhamEdhinam
(he took refuge under the divine feet of varadharAjar who is the divine ornament for the head of the divine elephant mountain, who has divine chest in which alarmEl mangai resides forever and who is the lord of the yAgabhUmi (the place where brahmA conducted the sacred ritual)), he worshipped pEraruLALar who is at the centre of puNyakOti vimAnam as said in the SlOkam

(Oh pEraruLALa! I have taken refuge under emperumAnAr; that emperumAnAr is the divine decorative lamp for the lineage of ALavandhAr’s knowledge; that ALavandhAr is in the divine clan of nAthamuni; that nAthamuni comes in the divine knowledge clan of nammAzhwAr; that AzhwAr is pirAtti’s servitor; thus, through this lineage, adiyEn has become qualified for dhEvarIr’s divine mercy). He prostrated before varadharAjan, recited thiruppallANdu and varadharAja ashtakam, sthOthra gadhyams and carried out managaLASAsanam. dhEvapperumAL too showered his mercy thinking “nammirAmAnusanaip pOlE iruppAr oruvaraip peRuvadhE” (how great that we could attain someone like our rAmAnujar!) and gave him sacred water and SrI satakOpan. He gave him permission for nAyanAr to leave. nAyanAr then went to other divine abodes in the great town of kAnchi, such as thiruvehkA etc.
