avathArikai (Introduction)
Starting from sUthram 23 “prapaththikku dhESa niyamam” up to here, the lack of restriction by place, time etc and restriction based on the target of prapaththi (surrender) which is the upAya varaNam (pursuit of bhagavAn, the upAyam (means)) were shown; after showing the particulars of the target of surrender, piLLai lOkAchAryar, with the divine intent of revealing the particulars of the adhikAri (qualified person) who is highlighted in bhagavath SAsthram (SrI pAncharAthra Agamam) etc, starts to mercifully explain it.

Simple Explanation
There are three types of adhikAris (qualified persons) who surrender unto archAvathAram (deity form).

That is – The adhikAris who surrender unto this archAvathAram which is the apt target due to having qualities such as saulabhya (easy approachability) etc in full, are of three categories, based on the difference in the reason for their surrender.
