avathArikai (Introduction)
When asked “If this (SEshathvam/dhAsyam [servitude]) is the svarUpa nirUpakam (true identity) of AthmA, should it not have been present for the AthmA from the beginning? Since it is manifesting now while it was not present previously, and since it is seen in this world based on a particular reason, is this dhAsyam, accidental (unnatural)?” piLLai lOkAchAryar mercifully explains.
sUthram 74
idhudhAn vandhEri anRu.

This is not accidental (unnatural).
vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
idhudhAn vandhEri anRu.
idhudhAn
The dhAsyam which is the current topic being analysed.

Aganthukuam (accidental).
anRu
By saying “no”, it implies that, this dhAsyam is natural. It is said in “svOjjIvanEchchA yadhithEsvasaththAyAm spruhAyathi | Athma dhAsyam harE svAmyam svabhAvancha sadhA smara ||” (As you are desirous of the emancipation of the self and desirous to learn the true existence of the self through SAsthram, you always meditate upon the AthmA being a natural servitor and hari (SrIman nArAyaNan) being the natural lord) and in thiruppallANdu 11 “nAnum unakkup pazhavadiyEn” (I am your eternal servitor).
