Simple Explanation

Due to defect in self and the relationship.

That is –

  • for a person with eye disease etc, single moon will be visible as two moons etc. Similarly, due to the heart which is stained with evil impressions, one is finding defects in pure entities.
  • just as the defects of father et al will inflict upon son et al, due to the relationship with them, their defects are to be considered as the defects of the individual [i.e as bhagavAn SrIman nArAyaNa is connected to all entities, the defects in self manifest on bhagavAn (and thereby bhAgavathas)]

svadhOshaththAlum indicates the lack of defects in them; bandhaththAlum accepts defects in them and gives reason for that.
