avathArikai (Introduction)
Thus, piLLai lOkAchAryar mercifully explained previously about how a prapanna should consider the defects of samsAris, such defects will not be seen by him, and the reason for seeing such defects by him. When such defects are seen occasionally, not only should one consider those to be one’s own and eliminate them, but how one should behave when he is offended by someone – this is mercifully explained now by piLLai lOkAchAryar.
sUthram 363
pirAtti, rAkshasigaL kuRRam perumALukkum thiruvadikkum aRiviyAdhAppOlE, thanakkup piRar seydha kuRRangaLai bhagavath bhAgavatha vishayangaLil aRivikkak kadavan allan.
Simple Explanation
Just as sIthAp pirAtti did not inform the mistakes of rAkshasis (demoniac women guards) to SrI rAma and hanumAn , one should not inform about the mistakes committed towards oneself by others to bhagavAn and bhAgavathas.
vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
pirAtti …
That is – when pirAtti was tormented by words and action every day for ten months by seven hundred rAkshasis such as EkAkshi (one-eyed), EkakarNi (one-eared) et al, she did not inform those to SrI rAma who is bhagavAn and hanumAn who is a bhAgavatha; similarly, a prapanna should not inform bhagavAn and bhAgavathas about the offenses committed by anyone towards him or her.
aRivikkak kadavan allan
When their (bhagavAn and bhAgavathas) divine hearts are hurt, that will be very disastrous for these persons who are already on the verge of being destroyed.
