ISvara sambandham bandha mOkshangaL iraNdukkum podhuvAy irukkum; AchArya sambandham mOkshaththukkE hEthuvAy irukkum.

Simple Explanation

Relationship with ISvaran is common for both bondage and liberation; relationship with AchAryan is meant only for liberation.

ISvara sambandham

Here, ISvara samabandham means the relationship in the form of surrender to ISvaran as explained in sUthram 427 “ISvaranaip paRRugai“; that

bandha mOkshangaL iraNdukkum podhuvAy irukkum

Since that is a relationship with sarvESvaran who is uncontrollably independent to bind an individual in this samsAram based on the individual’s karma or liberate the individual based on his (ISvaran’s) kAruNya (mercy), it is common for both bondage and liberation.

AchArya sambandham

Here, AchAya sambandham means the relationship in the form of surrender to ISvaran through AchAryan as explained in sUthram 427 “AchAryanaip paRRugai“; that

mOkshaththukkE hEthuvAy irukkum

Since that is a relationship with AchAryan who is greatly compassionate to liberate the individual instead of leaving the scope to bind the individual in this samsAram based on karma, it is meant only for liberation from samsAram rather than being common to both samsAram and mOksham, .

With this – the greatness based on AchAryan being exclusive cause for mOksham is explained.
