sakala vidhyAdhika vEdham polE idhuvum dhivyaprabandha pradhAnam.
Simple Explanation
Just as vEdham is greater than all other SAsthrams which give knowledge, nammAzhwAr’s prabandhams are foremost among dhivya prabandhams.
vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
That is – as said in smruthi “angAni vEdhAS chathvArO mImAmsA nyAyavisthara: purANam dharmaSAsthrancha vidhyA hyEthAS chathurdhaSa:” (There are fourteen vidhyAs (knowledge bases) namely six angas, four vEdhams, mImAmsA, nyAya (tharka), purANam and dharma SAsthram), while vEdhams are read along with other SAsthrams, vEdhams are greater than their angas and upAngas, due to their glories; similarly, while nammAzhwAr’s four prabandhams namely thiruviruththam, thiruvAsiriyam, periya thiruvandhAdhi and thiruvAimozhi, are counted along with the dhivya prabandhams which are their angas and upAngas, due to their glories, these four prabandhams will be considered as foremost.
