Simple explanation: When SrIvaishNavas, bhAgavathas are engaged in praising bhagavAn and bhAgavathas, at that time we should also join and praise them. Instead of doing that, if we walk out in the middle, then that is a big offense. The intent is to emphasise that we should all participate in glorifying bhagavAn and bhAgavathas. There are dhivya prabandhams, sthOthrams which all glorify bhagavAn. And there are other prabandhams written by pUrvAchAryas in glorification of AzhwArs and pUrvAchAryas. We all must learn them, recite them and glorify bhagavAn and bhAgavathas. For example, if there is a gOshti going on where dhivya prabandham is recited and we are present in that gOshti, then we should not just walk out while they are reciting. Instead, we should also participate in that gOshti and sing along according to our ability. We should also praise bhagavAn or bhAgavathas depending on the situation. The purpose of having mouth and tongue is to glorify bhagavAn and bhAgavathas. Without that purpose being fulfilled, there is no use of our mouth and tongue. Similarly, having ears is to hear about bhagavAn and bhAgavathas. Having eyes is to see and worship bhagavAn and bhAgavathas. Having hands is to serve bhagavAn and bhAgavathas. So, in this manner our karaNams, our faculties, and our senses, should be engaged in glorifying bhagavAn and bhAgavathas according to our ability.

Simple explanation: When SrIvaishNavas come to our place, when we hear about that we should eagerly go forward and welcome them from a distance from our home. We should not just wait inside our home for them to come closer to our residence. Similarly, while they leave, we have to go along with them for a fair distance with great devotion towards them and give them a proper farewell send off. If we don’t do both of these then that will lead to great offense towards bhAgavathas, towards SrIvaishNavas. To understand this, we have to see how in the past people were treating guests. Especially when a SrIvaishNava guest comes to our home, we have to think that we are very fortunate to have such a wonderful opportunity. So, when we know the time they arrive, we have to go to the entrance of the street at least and wait for them and bring them home with deep devotion. Similarly, when they take leave, we just don’t send them off from our home. We have to go along with them to the end of the town, or a water body like a pond or a tank which is usually seen somewhere in the boundary of the town. We go up to that spot and give them a proper send off with great reverence. This is how we treat our guests, especially SrIvaishNava guests. We cannot just casually welcome them and casually give them a sendoff. It must be done with great respect and devotion and thinking about the benefit we had by hosting them in our home. Thinking about all of this, we should welcome them and send them off with great reverence.

Simple explanation: One should consider one’s spiritual progress (Athma yAthrA) and one should meditate upon one’s servitude towards bhAgavathas, towards devotees. One should develop noble qualities such as humility, and one should follow bhAgavathas sincerely. Instead of this if one focuses on dhEha yAthrA, that is bodily life and bodily comforts, if one goes to samsAris (materialistic people) and seek their help, and support and if one keeps such materialistic people’s name in front of one’s own name like people have the sports person’s names included in their own name because they like that sports person very much; people add movie stars’ names in front of their own names, and abandoning the rules of SAsthram, that will truly destroy the true nature of the individual. The true nature of the individual is to be in servitude for bhagavAn and bhAgavathas. If one does not develop good qualities and follow bhAgavathas and if one goes behind bodily comforts and seeks materialistic wealth and support from materialistic people, that will be destructive for the true nature of the self.
