Meaning
Since all entities belong to the lord, agreeableness is the natural state of all objects; unpleasantness is only an adventitious condition.
Explanation
The AchArya resolves another doubt
The AchArya now answers the following doubt:
What is the natural state (svabhAva) of these objects?
The natural nature of all objects
The scriptures declare that all entities constitute the body of bhagavAn:
जगत् सर्वं शरीरं ते।
(jagath sarvam SarIram thE)
“The entire world is your body.”
तानि सर्वाणि तद्वपुः।
(thAni sarvANi thadhvapu:)
“All those (things) are His form.”
तत्सर्वं वै हरेस्तनुः।
(thath sarvam vai harEsthanu:)
“All that indeed is the body of hari.”
Since all objects are of the nature of belonging to the Lord (ISvarAthmaka), when they are viewed in their true relationship to him, everything appears agreeable (anukUla). Therefore, agreeableness alone is the natural state (svabhAva) of all objects.
Why some objects appear unpleasant
The unpleasantness (prAthikUlya) experienced in certain objects is not their intrinsic nature. It is merely something adventitious (vandhERi), arising from dhEhAthma-bhrama and similar misconceptions.
Thus, what appears disagreeable is only a superimposed condition and not the true nature of the objects themselves.
