avathArikai (Introduction)
When asked “Do we need that [thoughts on him]? AzhwAr said that he has given permission and he has desire. Will they be the reason to get bhagavAn’s mercy?” nAyanAr says “Even those occurred due to bhagavAn only”.

madhiyAl isaindhOm ennum anumathi ichchaigaL iruththuvam ennAdha ennai isaiviththa ennisaivinadhu.
Simple Explanation
My having desire or granting permission, is due to his act of convincing me to accept him.
vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
That is – AzhwAr said in thiruvAimozhi 8.7.10 “vaiththEn madhiyAl enadhuLLaththagaththE” (With my permission, I placed in my heart) indicating that he placed bhagavAn in his heart by granting permission and in periya thiruvandhAdhi 26 “yAnum ennenjum isaindhozhindhOm” (my mind and I have accepted) indicating that he along with his mind accepted to eliminate the hurdles; that permission and desire are the result of the efforts of ISvaran. When AzhwAr heard that emperumAn entered AzhwAr’s heart, AzhwAr said that he won’t allow that to happen as in thiruvAimozhi 1.7.7 “yAn otti ennuL iruththuvam enRilan” (I did not think about keeping him inside my heart with acceptance); at that time, emperumAn tried hard and made AzhwAr agree to that as said in thiruvAimozhi 5.8.9 “isaiviththu ennai” (Making me accept), and remained as my acceptance [i.e., had my acceptance at his disposal) as said in thiruvAimozhi 1.7.4 “en isaivinai” (one who has full control over my acceptance). If he already had given permission and the desire, he should not have said thiruvAimozhi 1.7.7 “iruththuvam enRilan” (I did not think about keeping him inside my heart with acceptance) and thiruvAimozhi 5.8.9 “isaiviththu ennai” (Making me accept).
