Meaning
The knowledge of these souls, like their essential nature, is eternal, a substance, non-inert, and of the nature of bliss.
Explanation
Similarity between the soul and its knowledge
The AchArya now explains the characteristics that are common to the soul (svarUpa) and its knowledge (gyAna).
Just as the essential nature of the soul is:
- nithya (eternal),
- dhravya (a substance),
- ajada (non-inert), and
- Anandha-rUpa (of the nature of bliss),
its gyAna also possesses these same characteristics.
Thus, nithyathva, dhravyathva, ajadathva, and Anandha-rUpathva are common to both the soul and its attributive knowledge.
